Mr. Guthartz's practice is focused on business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction, real estate, and contractual disputes. He represents owners, architects, contractors, and other professionals.

Prior to joining Wasserman Grubin & Rogers, Mr. Guthartz was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and a law clerk for the Honorable Peter G. Sheridan, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey. At Paul Weiss, Mr. Guthartz defended financial institutions in complex contract disputes, securities litigations, and government investigations. Mr. Guthartz also maintained a significant pro bono practice, including representing plaintiffs in a civil rights class action in federal court.

Mr. Guthartz graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an Articles Editor on the Cardozo Law Review.
